The wired township i-City will again feature a digital lights extragavanza — this time in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations.Millions of LED lights will light up i-City’s CityPark and CityWalk to usher in the Year of the Tiger.The lights at CityPark will reflect an auspicious ambiance with pink Chinese cherry blossoms surrounded by rows of bamboo trees with lights covering shapes made to look like pandas.A forest of fibre optic trees will also be lit up in CityPark, casting a magical glow around visitors.The cosmopolitan-styled pedestrian street mall will also be covered by hundreds of LED lanterns to create a nostalgic Chinese New Year atmosphere.
The i-city is a RM2bil integrated commercial township that is to house IT-based businesses. The main attraction is a 50ft-tall LED Christmas tree — the first of its kind LED-lit ice sculpture in a winter setting
